Coconut Garden was a true gem for me! the guest house is perfectly situated between the tranquil backwaters and the serene shores of the beach. the family who runs it welcomed me like one of their own, offering warm hospitality. the rooms were clean and fresh, with a beautiful balcony to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Sudheesh and his family were amazing hosts, providing helpful advice and assistance throughout my stay. the included home-cooked Keralan breakfast was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend Coconut Garden to anyone seeking a relaxing escape or visiting the area.
Nothing negative to say.

Seating area to relax in after a busy day: After a long day of exploring Cherai Beach, I sank into the cozy seating area at Coconut Garden, feeling like a tired explorer who had finally discovered an oasis of comfort.
No hot water: Though not needed in the permanently balmy south of India, the absence of hot water at Coconut Garden was a minor inconvenience.

The location of the hotel is perfect, right on a lovely quiet beach with several restaurants to try. the garden is filled with nice trees offering shade, creating a relaxing atmosphere just off the beach. the rooms are spacious and clean, with amenities like air conditioning and mosquito netting. the family running the hotel is friendly and accommodating, providing great service. the breakfast is delicious, with a different variety each day. Guests can also take advantage of the tuk tuk and taxi services offered by the hotel.
While the hotel is close to the beach, it does require a short walk or climb over a stone wall. some of the more popular swimming areas and restaurants require a 1-2 km walk.

During our Christmas stay at this hotel, we had a truly amazing experience. First of all, the warm and friendly family who runs the place made us feel like part of their own family. the location was perfect as it was situated between the serene backwaters and the stunning beach. We could easily enjoy both the peaceful atmosphere by the backwaters and the beauty of the sea, just minutes away. Lastly, the delicious homemade breakfast was a real treat every morning, offering a taste of local cuisine and fresh ingredients.
While our stay was mostly wonderful, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. the ongoing construction work on the property was occasionally noisy and a bit intrusive.

I recently stayed at Coconut Gardens in Cherai Beach for a week-long vacation. Sudheesh and his family were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The location, right on a quiet beach, was perfect with several restaurants to try nearby. The breakfast served every day was amazing, with something different each day. They even provided a taxi and tuk-tuk service, taking us all around the local area. Sudheesh and his family were always accommodating and nothing was ever too much trouble. I would highly recommend staying at Coconut Gardens and I will definitely be returning.
I would recommend this hotel.

Wow, what a fantastic stay! the staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. the homemade traditional breakfast was absolutely delicious, and they even offered lunch and dinner options. the rooms were clean and comfortable, with a great shower and comfy beds. the location was perfect, nestled between the serene backwaters and the beautiful beach. It was such a romantic and peaceful escape, perfect for a couple's getaway. We loved every moment of it!
We had some initial trouble with transportation to and from the area, and taxis were quite expensive. the basic room we initially booked did not have air conditioning as advertised, but the staff quickly offered us the option to switch to a room with AC. Lastly, although the location was lovely, reaching the beach required a bit of a walk.
